Víctor Sepúlveda Figueroa – Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (Mexico)

He carried out his undergraduate studies in sociology at the University of Concepción, Chile (1968-1972). In recognition of a graduate program that he completed in England during 1975-1980, the Council for National Academic Awards conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 1980. In 1982 he joined the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, in México, as full professor. As part of his work in that Institution, he created the program of Master of Political Science in 1986 and later, in 1992, the Doctorate in Political Science. He has published 5 books as a single author, 3 as co-author, and the other 5 as coordinator, and has also written 36 articles 20 chapters of books. He has conducted 40 theses at the undergraduate and graduate university levels. His main research concerns have been directed to the role of knowledge in the articulation of exploitation relations in Latin America and in the region’s relations with developed countries.
