School
One of “sustainability”‘s meanings is that of the economic management of the school: the resources management that makes it possible to comply with its mission.
This understanding is key to this section along with other topics such as academic management, educational plans and programmes, school texts, principalship, the relationship with the educational authorities or the implementation of programmes (as already mentioned in previous chapters).

Scientific Directors

José Morillo-Velarde – Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain)
Degree in Philosophy and Letters, Hispanic Philology section by the Universidad de Córdoba and Master in Humanistic and Social Studies by the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU. He was Academic Assistant Director of the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU and is currently Professor of Documentation at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and academic head of the REDIB project. Previously he worked as a librarian at the Universidad de Córdoba and has directed for more than eighteen years those of the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU. As a professor, before his current dedication to the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, he has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses at CEU Universities and specialization and lectures at a number of Spanish and European universities. Author of numerous articles on the new profile of the librarian and his participation in the learning process, he directed the development of the MOOCs and the blended courses in the universities CEU. He is vice-president of the ADLUG (Automation and Digital Libraries Users Group) the longest one of the associations of librarians specialized in automation and Member of the Editorial Committee of Universia: the greater university cooperation network that groups to more than 1500 universities in 23 countries of Europe and Latin America.

Cecilia Villavicencio – Director of Studies at St Ignatius’ College (Argentina)
Graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Buenos Aires – Argentina. From 2006 to 2013 she was a staff member of the IBDP in Latin America (until 2008) and the Americas (from 2009) as deputy head of the Diploma Programme, in charge of assessing the operation of the programme in schools from Canada to Chile. From August 2013 to July 2018 she worked as coordinator of the Diploma Programme at SEK-International School – Ciudalcampo (Madrid, Spain), where she also taught Theory of Knowledge and coordinated the Humanities department. She is currently Director of Studies (K-12) at St Ignatius’ College, in Río Cuarto, Argentina. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary and Higher Education in Humanities, from the University of Buenos Aires. She also has a postgraduate degree with a specialization in Education Management (Flacso – Latin American Foundation for the Social Sciences). She is currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Management of Educational Institutions, at Blas Pascal University.
